A preliminary reading of an Audio Graphics/Borrell Associates survey of internet radio listeners shows an increase in the number of people willing to purchase holiday gifts online.
Comparing the response from 1,999 persons in 2004 to a currently running survey - hence "preliminary reading" - we are seeing that 8% of those who would not purchase online back then have changed their minds this year. In 2004, 42.4% of respondents said they WOULD NOT be spending holiday dollars online. In 2009, that figure dropped to 34.4%.
We also see a 6.7% increase in persons who will spend between $151-$300, and a 4.6% increase in those spending $451-$600 online this holiday.
