Survey 31:
Interest in Podcasting
Online Purchases
Satisfaction With Station
Over 45,000 respondents have added to our data base.
There is no personal information collected, but the
answers supplied give an accurate picture of the type
of people who use radio online.
Survey 31's demographics compared with our four previous
surveys show males 19-44 are consistently the predominate
group. These are the same demos that are increasingly
harder to reach through traditional media.

With the podcasting craze in full swing, we decided
to find out just how involved online radio listeners
are in tuning into podcasting. There seems to be
a great deal more publicity than interest.
"Have you listened to a "podcast" in the last 30 days?"
From the 1,800 persons who answered this question,
63.1% said "No."

Online Purchases
A previous survey showed the online radio
audience to be highly affluent, 45.1% living
in households earning $50,000+ annually.
When asked "Have you made an online purchase
in the last 30 days?" RRadio Network listeners
say they are willing to spend their money:

Station Satisfaction
One reason for growth of the online radio
audience is that listeners show a high degree
of satisfaction with the programming of their
stations. Survey 31 asked "How does THIS
radio station rank in satisfying your expectations?"
From the 1,968 persons who responded 84.8%
said they thought their online station was
satisfying them by 80% or more.
Compared with the same question asked in
November 2002 (83.7%), there is improvement:
