RRadio Network has been talking with its audience
through surveys since October 2001. Over 47,000
persons have added to our data base, giving an
in-depth look at "who" listens to radio online.
Because of RRadio Network's diverse station lineup,
there's confidence in claiming this audience
represents online radio in general.
Survey 32 respondents' demo profile shows 69.3% male
with 29.4% female.


Realizing there is movement on to improve programming
at terrestrial broadcast stations, we wanted to see
if the improvements where being noticed by listeners.

How Long Online
The online radio audience has proven to be
affluent and educated. Today we also show
them as being comfortable in their online
world: 79.8% have used the internet
for 4 or more years.


How Long As A Listener
While online radio listeners have long tenure
online, the act of listening to radio there is new.
Just over a third of RRadio Network's audience has
been listening to radio online for 2+ years - 34.6%.
Males have been listening to radio online longest:
40.5% having done so for over 2 years. 46.4% of
females have been listening for 5 months or less.
